You need to do a Troubleshooting

Just follow my steps:

a. Click on your Start Button or press window key, then choose Control Panel> Choose Windows Firewall From your Control Panel.

b. Now, Select Exceptions tab

c. Click on the Add Program switch.

d. Click on Browse and pick My Computer.

e. Pick C: drive, then click on open or double click on C: drive.

f.  Open Documents and Settings

g. Go to your username folder

h. Go to Local Settings > Then Application Data > Google > Then Update.

i.  Select that folder which is open highest.

j.  Here you need to choose Google update.exe.

NB: If you are using any firewall software, then please visit that software website for specific instructions, and know how to add the application to the exceptions list. You can also try it by update your windows for downloading Chrome.

If your computer Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) is not starting properly then you can unable to download the Chrome. So, Please check your BITS configuration. Here are the steps:

1. Click on Start Button or press window key from your computer.

2. Now, Go to Control Panel> Administrative Tools> Services.

3. Choose Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) from the list

4. From your mouse right click on that (BITS) and choose Properties.

5. Go to General tan, first of all make sure this setting is not Disabled, then verify that the Startup type is set to either Automatic or Manual.

If you think it’s difficult for you then you check it by another way. You see you have the write access to the below folder:

C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataMicrosoftNetworkDownloader

How can you understand you have the write access or not?

Right click on the folder and choose Properties. Go to General Tab, then you see an empty box next to Read-only it’s mean you have write access. If you see a check mark and you can click on that then its okay, but if you cannot click on that then please talk with your administrator.

NB: Make sure your internet connection is working.
