Hi,

Internal card reader not working w7 problem. This internal card reader is not compatible with my windows 7 operating system, what is the best suggestion you could offer? I need to connect the internal card reader in the computer and get some important files.

Regards,

Christine Turner.

Hi Christine

There is no issue with Windows 7 compatibility. Because Internal Card Reader is a Hardware not software and it is supported by all operating systems. I think you have connection problem in your system.

Open your CPU and make sure that you have connected correct connection. First Connect the power wire of Internal Card reader to SMPS and connect the data cable of internal card reader to your system's Motherboard.

Thank You

Christine,

In order to connect your internal card reader to your computer follow these steps:

1. Power off your computer.

2. Open up your computer case.

3. Connect the reader into a 3.5 inch slot with screws.

4. Plug the reader into the motherboard by connecting it into the internal USB pins. The internal USB header is 2 rows, one containing 5 pins and the other containing 4 pins.

5. Close the case back up.

Your computer will now recognize the internal card reader because it looks at it as if it were a standard USB device.
