GIMP GNU Image Manipulation Program Error

Hi,

I got GIMP on Windows 7 as an image manipulation program to assist me in editing some images. I have encountered an error when opening images as shown below. Any suggestions?

GIMP Message

Opening ‘/Users/rubenerd/Desktop/ReportSlide09.jpg’ failed: raw image plug-in could not open image.

GIMP GNU Image Manipulation Program Error

This error message shows that you are trying to open a raw image in GIMP where it doesn’t support raw images. You have to install an application UFRaw that would support your images and let you open them. Mac users are lucky as this app is installed with the build of GIMP.

You can download this app from UFRaw’s download page.

UFRaw can b found in the GIMP program group in “programs” or if you have downloaded it simply double click the icon. The file selection window will appear, select the image and press “Open” button.

You can proceed with the editing of your images and enjoy this application.
