Hello,

The update for my server keeps failing even after trying a few times. I know there is an update due the message from Windows Update.
The Error Code is “ 8024200D Some updates were not installed”.
Windows update is being used to update the server manually so I am not sure what the error is about.
Great appreciated any help.
Thank You

Regards,

Ken

Hi

Pat or Ken, the reason for the error is that , there was an update or installation that was not finish.  In order to correct this problem go to:

1.  Start> click control panel

2.  If you are using windows vista  click security and if you are using windows 7 click system and security.

3.  On windows Update > check for updates

if none you can go to this link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/

4.  If the problem did not solve yet, I will recommend you to download and install  the System Update Readiness Tool, You can get it from here, and  be sure that you know the version of your windows.  If in case you don't know the version, just click start >you can see a window search type "msinfo32" and then Enter, you can see OS name , adjacent to that  is the version of your windows and you can see also system type, adjacent to that is the type of your computer.

Now, you are ready to install the tool, go to this link:  Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 service packs are not available for installation through Windows Update
