Some times my computer does not start. What could the reasons be that my system does not start normally?

Thanks.

Hi Pa21l,

If you experienced failed windows startup, this might be caused by a recent change in your hardware or maybe your software.

There are a solution to this, if the problem is in your windows files (Either damaged or wrongly configured), you can use startup repair to detect where the problem and fix it, while doing repair and if there is power problem when you start up windows, you can try to boot the windows normal way.
  • Boot to start up repair (best option suggested)
  • Boot windows in normal way
When the choice shown, if you don't choose anything in few seconds, it will choose to highlight options automatically.
Well, I got problem when I try to boot using startup repair, it loads for several seconds, and later I get a black screen with nothing inside.

Solution 1:

While booting up the windows operating system. Continuously press the F8 button and then all the options like Safe Mode, Start Windows Normally will eventually appear. Try choosing the Start Windows Normally and see if it works.

Solution 2:

Doing the same above but this time choose the Safe Mode first and then see if it boots up. Then restart it and then just let it start normally.

Solution 3:

If there is still no progress on starting windows when doing the solutions above. You may want to consider, doing a System Repair to check for errors, System Restore to go back to a past state of your computer. Choose the date where you last run the computer.

Solution 4:

No hope, then format it. Backup your files by attaching your hard disk to different PC, then start formatting and install a fresh copy of windows.

If you turned off your system without going through a proper Shutdown, it would give you a warning when windows boots (just like what you posted) to inform you of what happened.

If there’s been a power interruption/power surge and your computer turns off then on almost instantaneously, then it would give you such a message. If this is what happened, you can just pick Start Windows Normally.

If the problem came up due to other reasons and the computer fails to boot right, you can turn the computer on and keep tapping F8 to get to the advanced boot options. You should have an option that says Last Known Good Configuration, choose that and see if it boots normally.
