visio for iso standard to develop the templates or diagram shapes is required. There is help online, but can't find anything about standards for shapes to use it for different types of diagrams. Can I use a shape different than the original context or it is defined by the standard?

Visio for iso standard to develop the templates

The Visio shapes stencil and a particular ISO standard are usually matched one to one. It is designed this way so that the shape you use is not compromised by the possibility of having something different from what is defined by the standard. You have to make sure that what you use conforms to what is commonly used by Visio shapes such as ANSI, ISO and British standards.
