Unable to start Parallels virtual machines because of the software incompatibility

Hi guys,

I am not able to run parallel virtual machines when working with the parallel desktop for windows or parallels workstation extreme.

When I try to run it, I get the following error on my screen. the screenshot is attached below:

The message states:

Parallels Workstation Extreme

Unable to start the virtual machine due to software incompatibility.

The problem may be caused by an antivirus, firewall, network traffic analyzer or similar software installed on your computer. For additional information, please see the following knowledgebase article : https://www.nginx.com/welcome-to-nginx/

OK

I am using AT&T communication manager with PC tools firewall plus 7.x and aventail VPN client.

Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated.

Hi Jedei!

 

The Parallels Virtualization Products for Windows is known to conflict with this list of programs:

 

ESET NOD32 v2.x

Internet Download Manager by Tonec Inc.

Aventail VPN Client

EMBASSY Trust Suite

AT&T Communication Manager

PC Tools Firewall Plus 7.x

You have three out of the six programs installed in your machine and that's why Parallels wont run.

 

To resolve the issue, you must do one of these two methods, whichever works:

 

1) Update the programs. ESET NOD32 3.x does not conflict with Parallels.

2) Uninstall the programs.

Unable to start Parallels virtual machines because of the software incompatibility

If you have one aforementioned programs installed on the host computer then you need to one thing. 

1. Try to update the program. 
2. Remove the program from the host computer. 

This is linked to windows network subsystem. Hope this solution works.
