Where can I get a tutorial to convert mp3 into quicktime? If you know a link, please leave a comment. Note that I'm just a beginner so it would be so nice if the tutorial is easy to understand terms. No jargons! Thanks!

Tutorials on Converting MP3 file to QuickTime Format

Hi Denise,

There are a couple of ways to convert .mp3 files to AIFF which is most suited for QuickTime application. One of which is using iTunes. Upon opening iTunes, choose iTunes (for Mac) or Edit (for Windows) then click Preferences. Select the ‘General’ tab on the Preferences window then click ‘Import Settings’. Select AIFF Encoder on the ‘Import Using’ menu instead of MP3 or AAC Encoders. Click OK and see if the file you converted is on your iTunes library under ‘Music’.

Another way to solve this is by using QuickTime Pro. First you need to locate the file in your Finder then drag the file unto the QuickTime Player icon. Click ‘File’ then ‘Export’. Choose where to save your file in the save dialog. There will be an Export pop-up menu. Choose ‘Sound to AIFF’ and then choose ‘Default Settings’ from the Use pop-up menu. Click the save button and you’re all done.

I hope this helps.
