I am an economist, and I like fiddling with currencies. I know most of the things about the money and their symbols. Can anyone elucidate this professional about Malaysian currency symbol which the country uses?

There Is Something About Malaysian Currency Symbol That I Found Fishy.

Greetings, Mr. Economist. I may not know many things about the macroeconomics, but certainly, I know something about the topic you are interested. You might know that Malaysian currency is known as Malaysian ringgit. It was formerly the Malaysian dollar, but people altered the currency for better. The currency symbol is RM,and the currency code is MYR.

The historical cycle behind the current symbol of Malaysian ringgit can be referred to Wikipedia. As of the time I wrote the answer, the value of MYR was equaled to 0.23 US dollar. The Malaysian ringgit value is constantly depreciating due to some economic instability in the country. You obviously are more aware than me on this subject, I suppose.
