My wireless card suddenly stopped working.

Is there anyway that I can test whether it's a software or hardware problem.

Hey Spencer Reynoso!

If your wireless card was working fine before and now it is not working then reason behind this issue is (maybe) your drivers.

You have to update your drivers first. There is a possibility that your drivers are out of dated. You can use some softwares like Driver Genius to updated your drivers. This software automatically updates your drivers according to your windows.

Second option is your hardware. May be the wireless card itself is not detected by the windows. To check whether wireless card is working or not, Right click on My computer and select Properties. Click on Hardware and select Device manager.

This list shows all the hardware that are currently working. Click on Scan for hardware changes button on the upper toolbar. After scanning is complete, check in the Network Adaptor list. If your Card is working fine then it must be there in the list. Otherwise i am afraid you have to replace it.

Thanks
