Problems with iMovie does not support HD functions

I’m fun of creating and editing family videos. I usually post approximately 5-minute videos on our own family blog. All this time, I’ve been using Panasonic mini DV camcorder with Standard Definition. But this time, I’m having an HD camera. I’m planning to have HV20/30. I also have a 4-year old G5 Tower with 1.8 dual PC processors on my computer. It is run by Tiger and has a 2GB of RAM. My problem is the iMovie that I have right now does not support HD functions. Thus, I’m looking for HD-compatible editor or if there is something better than this, I’ll be glad to know. I have a little trouble with iMovie anyway. Are there any suggestions that you could give me on what is the best HD-capable editor for my processor? And could you give me some tips on how to have a better streaming quality for my videos?

Hallo Christian Chua,

If you imovie is giving you trouble, then I will advise that you just use the HD camera for capturing the videos but then use an editing application like adobe  flash or aleo slide show gallery maker to convert the videos into formats and sizes that will be fit for streaming and uploading the images to your home blog.

I will advise that you edit and save the videos into the .flv or .swf formats gives the best qualities of videos for uploading and streaming online, allowing you to have videos in very small sizes but of high quality format. If you have a lot of space for your site then I will advise that you go for .flv format as opposed to .swf.

Hope this helps.
