Problem with Microsoft Communicator in connection with Outlook

Hi Techs,

Well aside from my Out of Office Assistant Issue, once again, I am having an Outlook issue but not directly to it. It has some connection with my Microsoft Communicator 2007. I am receiving this error:

There was a problem connecting to Microsoft Office Outlook. Outlook is not installed or configured correctly. Repair or reinstall Outlook, and then sign out and sign back in to Communicator.

I am a little too exhausted finding out that after a good vacation, problems will welcome me in the office. I am able to sign in fine with Communicator, but I do not want to see any error messages with the program that I am using.

It makes me think that sooner or later, the issue will explode and mess up with my work. And so, as much as possible, I would want all the errors to vanish.

If there are any ideas, it is mostly welcome.

Here are ways you can do to fix that error:

  1. Go and Sign in to the Sign in application
  2. Look for and choose Reconfigure Desktop applications from the Sign in application, make sure that you see Office Communicator in the options.
  3. Make sure all applications are selected.

If that doesn't work, you can try:

  1. Go and Verify that your Primary SMTP address value is matched with your SIP address value.
  2. Wait for 24-42 hours for it to resolve if you change it.

These are things you can try to fix the error. Since you say you can sign in normally, it's probably just a bug and this should fix the problem, if not, try to follow the instruction in the error and repair your installation or reinstall the whole thing.

Hope that helps.
