I'm thinking of getting a Dell Venue 8 Pro. How is it compared to other products like the Microsoft Surface 2 or the Nokia Lumia 2520? Are there certain features I need to be aware of when getting any of these tablets so that I can select the best one for me?
Planning to get a Dell Venue 8 Pro
The best one is the Dell Venue 8 Pro. It also comes very close the Microsoft Surface 2. The Nokia Lumia 2520 is not such a good option for a tablet.
I will compare the Dell and the Microsoft tablet so that you can understand why i would choose the Dell Venue 8 Pro
First of all, the Dell tablet is more lightweight then the Microsoft Surface, with only 390 grams (under the 900 grams that the Microsoft Surface 2 has), and a much more bigger battery capacity, running at 4830 mAh. So, from these you cand understand that portability is the key for the Dell Venue 8 Pro tablet.
Although the Dell tablet has a small 8 inch screen compared to the Surface's 10 inch display, this means that it won't consume too much power from the battery, giving you a few extra hours compared to the Microsoft Surface 2.
The resolution is an 1280×800 pixels, running on an 8 inch screen, this will ensure you that no pixelation effect will be present during text reading or other navigational functions.
It is equipped with a 1.8 GHz quad-core processor, the same like the 1.9 Ghz dual-core that the Surface 2 uses. It's an Intel Atom processor, the newest model used for tablets.
At what the Dell Venue 8 Pro exceeds is that it was launched this year in January, giving you an advantage because in comparison to the Surface 2, the Dell tablet will have a longer technical support availability than older tablets.
