Hi,

I have downloaded Microsoft Office 2016 using Windows 10 64 bit, but using Excel an error shows up saying “Excel couldn’t Verify Your Office 365 Subscription”. Have you any idea how it came up and how to remove this error? Please share some suggestions. Thanks!

Microsoft Office 2016 Couldn’t Verify Subscription

It seems this issue is about your internet connection. Microsoft Office 2016, by the way, is different from Microsoft Office 365. They are both Microsoft Office suites but they are different products. Microsoft Office 365 offers paid subscription that requires active internet connection. Since I’m not using Microsoft Office 365, I’m not sure what it will do if your computer is not connected to the internet.

Most probably, if you subscribed to one of its paid features or subscription plans and you are not connected to the internet at one time, that feature will probably be disabled. The available subscription plans for Microsoft Office 365 are the following:

  • * Office 365 plans for home
  • * Office 365 plans for business, education, and government

For more information, visit Microsoft Office 365 Plan Options. Back in your issue, since the problem is related to your internet connection, open your web browser and visit a website. If you verify that your connection is fine, try verifying Microsoft Office Excel again and see if it works.

If your internet connection is down, try to unplug the network cable at the back of the CPU and then plug it in again. Verify your internet connection and then verify Microsoft Office Excel. If the problem continues, contact your internet service provider.
