Hi tech savvy,

When I try to save a document in LibreOffice 3.6 I stuck up with an error message. I am not able to the save the document. Not able to understand the error message clearly. I created the document but now I cannot save it due to insufficient rights. How is it possible? Am I going wrong? Please help.

Hello,

It looks like the document saving directory you’re going to use is not under your control. So this issue is appearing.

Start LibreOffice with administration privilege. Right-click on LibreOffice and select “Run as administrator”. Then, try to save the document.

Also, you can take the permission of the folder using this Explorer add-in. Download TakeOwership. This will add a context menu indicating to take the ownership of the folder. Do this to the folder where you’re trying to save the document and then try to save the document.

Also, upgrade to latest LibreOffice.
