Hi,

LibreOffice 3.5.2 was running on my Windows 7 Service Pack 1 64-bit operating system.

I uninstalled the same and tried to install LibreOffice 3.6.

While starting up for installation it threw the error message.

Please help me to get a remedy of this issue.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Adams,

I have here solutions that could help you solve your issue in using LibreOffice 3.6.

Are you using Win7 OS SP1?

If you do, try the following:

                <Uninstall  all LibreOffice>

                <Rename LibreOffice files in ApplicationData for easy deletion afterwards>

                <Reinstall 3.6 version>

                <Reboot>

                <Delete the old and renamed file on Application Data>

                <Reboot>

Now, the application will not crash. Note that hidden folders like system folders should be put to view in order to find the Application Data folder. Check on your folder options.

Another solution that could help is to remove the user profile or delete <extensions> subdirectory of the user profile.
