I do not have an IT background. Am I still capable of doing ITIL? If yes, which certifications can I attempt? And most important of all, is ITIL certification worth it?

You definitely can give the exam. You can also pass it if you understand the concepts properly. But, if you don’t have an IT background, it will not help you professionally. ITIL, as the name suggests, is all about IT. If you do not have IT knowledge, you will lack foundational knowledge which is very important for anyone to make a career out of it. Now to answer your second question, ITIL offers the Foundation Certificate, Intermediate Certificate, MAlC Certificate and then the Expert certification. Most of the people stop here but there is a next level called the Masters certification. This level is very tough to pass and as of now, there are only 36 people who have this certification in the whole world.
