Hi techyv,

I am using Oracle BI Admin Tool to construct some repositories of a physical layer, the mapping layer, business model and abstracted end-user presentation layer.

Invalid path:

C:UserANO~1.TRIAppDataLocalTemporacleinstancebifoundati

onOracleBIServerComponentcoreapplication_obis1repository .

ORACLE_INSTANCE is set to a valid path.

I always encounter this error, that I consider as never ending: Invalid path: is set to a valid path. I posted below the screen shot for reference. I did a lot of trouble shooting and debugging, but it seems I still am in the midst of problem. I also asked some friends, but they have not encountered such problem, I am spending almost all my time on this error message.

It eats up a lot of my time and effort.

Please help solve my problem.

Thanks.

I recommend:

1. Read the submitted post below for help and instructions from other users.
2. Before and after making any changes to your system or installing any software
3. Some virus problem, so we strongly recommend you.

Hi there user:

It was literally stated on the error message ‘Warning: Please make sure that the environment variable ORACLE_INSTANCE is set to a valid path’ that the environment variables were need to set start. Because of this issue, you will need to set the variable ORACLE_INSTANCE to Oracle_BI1 directory.

Like for instance: C:OracleMiddlewareOracle_BI1.

Now you may open the RPD file (which OBIEE server is not using), then copy the RPD file from the server to your computer. Afterwards, you may use the OBIEE console to upload it.

Hope this could help.

Thanks for posting.

Best regards,
