Intuit Quick Books Installation error

Hi Raymund,

The issue that you have is more often than not your computers .Net framework. When this is damaged or not found on your computer the error that you posted shows up. This can be easily fixed. Follow my steps below:

  1. Run the Quick Books Install Diagnostic Tool
  2. Recommended: Download your software from Intuit’s website instead of using the setup CD.
  3. Access the Windows Temp folder ( “Start > RUN > Type %temp% “OR Windows button +R > type %temp%).
  4. Locate the QuickBooks Folder (Pro, Premier, or Enterprise).

Note: If you are unable to locate the folder, run the installation file again until the Welcome to QuickBooks screen shows, and then cancel the installation. The folder should show in the %temp% directory now.

  1. After locating the installation folder, open the QBooks folder.
  2. Right-click the Framework.xml file and select Rename. Rename the file to Framework.old.
  3. Download the new Framework.xml file: then select “save target as” and save it where the framework.old is located.
  4. Go back to the installation folder and run the setup.exe file.

Note: If running the setup.exe file does not begin the installation, try to run the QuickBooks.msi file (located within the same QBooks folder).
