I have fully scanned my pc with avira free edition and found a virus called Nginx, but despite Avira could not remove it and did nothing. What can I do with this to remove it from my computer?

Hi James,

You don't need to worry about the error. You should try Avira Anti Virus Rescue System. Once your virus scan has successfully finished, unplug internet and restart your system. That would help you resolve your issue.

You said you fully scanned your pc with Avira free edition. Nginx is not a serious virus it’s just a browser hijacker. This virus can change your browser homepage and redirects you to another search engine home page. To remove this you can follow this instruction.

Step 1:

Try to run your computer with safe mode.

Step 2:

In the Internet Explorer click on Tools and click on LAN settings button from connection tab.

Step 3:

Uncheck the “Use a proxy server”

Step 4:

Click ok and close everything.

I think it will not work sometimes. Try to buy a licensed antivirus.

Hallo James,

The following procedure will help you get rid of the Nginx virus from your computer.

  • The first step will be to run your computer in safe mode with having it connected to any network.
  • And then you will reset Internet Explorer, and then click Tools and then locate the connections tab.
  • Locate the LAN Settings button and click on it.
  • After than uncheck “Use a proxy server” box and then click OK several times so that everything that is open will be closed.
  • You should make sure that you turn off suspicious programs which start during startup

Regards,

Carl
