I need a good data pen recovery software

I think my pen drive got corrupted.  I'm trying to access my files but it gives a "not formatted" error.  I tried using Data Doctor data pen recovery software but it did not recover all the files including my JPEG and MPEG files.  Any ideas how I can recover them or can someone suggest a better software?  Thanks in advance.

If you get a not formatted error message then most definitely you won't access those files directly. However, you can easily recover these files if you follow the directions listed below. For this you'll have to use 'recuva' a free file recovery software created by piriform.

1 Download recuva from http://www.piriform.com/recuva/download.

2 Install the program.

3 From the start menu select MY COMPUTER.

4 Locate the pen drive from the disks shown to be connected to the computer.

5 Right click and select format.

6 Once all the files are deleted from the pen drive DON'T save any file on the drive.

7 Run recuva and from the options regarding the location of the deleted files you wish to recover, select your pen drive. Check the run deep scan check-box and hit enter.

8 Once the operation is completed recuva will display all the files that can be recovered. You'll have to select another destination to effectively recover the files. When you've got the files say on your hard drive, you could then copy them and save them on your pen drive but please remember once you save any file on the pen drive then if it overwrites another file (previously deleted) you may not be able to recover it again. So, make sure you have recovered all your files before saving any other files on your pen drive after you format it.
