Help me with Firefox Please ???

Hi techyv Team ,

In my company, almost all of the employees have been exclusively using Internet Explorer 6. Just recently, the company had us try Firefox 4 as an alternate and experimental browser. The thing is whenever I try browsing the Internet via Firefox 4, it kept on prompting me for a username and password. This never happened to me when I was using Internet Explorer 6 since it automatically authenticates anyway.
I just have two questions: 1) Is there any way for me to set my Firefox to automatically authenticate when I brose so I wouldn’t have to enter my username and password every single time? 2) Is there a way for me to create a link to my username and password? I have seen link to external sites that prompts for a username and a password and it would be convenient if I just have mine on a link.

Hello Amr Hassan,

It is strange that firefox can ask you to provide a username and password when you are just doing the normal surfing on the internet where you are not required to provide usernames and passwords. But if it is for those sites that you are required to provide a username and password like the mail services, you can choose to remember the usernames and passwords for those sites on the computer that you are using so that next time you will not need to provide usernames and passwords again to log in.

When you log in to a site, you will a message prompt in the firefox menu bar asking you if you will like to remember the password, comply to that request.
