Fujitsu ScanSnap iX500 Scanner keeps on turning off and on

I just bought this scanner few weeks ago. I was able to use it with no problems for quite few days. I recognized that after I am done with my tasks, the scanner automatically restarts by itself. I ignored it since I am done already with my work. It happened again quite few times after working on my computer. Two days ago, it automatically restarted by itself, while in the middle of my work. What could be causing this problem? Can you provide me options on how to resolve this problem?
