Formatting error of corrupted flash drive.

Some serious virus crept into my flash drive. When plugged it into the system it was asking to be formatted under Windows.

I tried to open it under various operating systems including XP, VISTA, WINDOWS 7, FEDORO etc.

In most cases the error was popping up saying, “Insert a Disk into drive x” and “Drive is not formatted” .

Disk is not Formatted

The disk in drive F is not formatted.

Do you want to format it now?

What can I do now?

This is a serious problem.  You have to format you flash by using Linux operating system. I recommend Linux because it is open source and no virus could ever effect this. Therefore format the flash by using Linux. If you do not format your flash it is sure that your flash will be out of order meaning it will not work. If you have any private data on your flash, you can also get it in Linux version.

You have to use the Linux version which is debian or the most usable on server is that CentOS. Hope this will help you in your problem.
