FireFox and Google chrome vidoes problems

Hi there,

I have a Dell XPS 18 running on windows 8.1, I have been trying to stream videos from you tube using FireFox and Google Chrome and they won't play at all, I have installed the latest version of Flashplayer, when I open the videos using Windows internet explorer, they stream just fine, what could be the problem with Chrome and Firefox? How do I make them Stream videos?

First of all ensure that you are using the latest version of firefox and google chrome (Version 33.0.1750.117 m). For firefox it needs to be ensured that you have the right add-on in place. First download the latest firefox version. Then download the youtube compatible add-on. Ensure that you are using Adobe Flash Player – Version: 12.0.0.70.

Post downloading and installation of the items ensure that you have cleared cached and cookies

·         Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

·         Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies”

For Google chrome type “chrome://settings/” in the browser, click on the Advance settings link below and then under privacy click on the clear browsing data.

Restart your browser. This should solve the problem (Ensure that you have either connected to a speaker or headphone before you run youtube videos.
