Hi TechyV buddies!

Whenever I attach a XL file, I use Lotus8.5. However, I often get an error message which says: “[strong]FILE CANNOT BE CREATED”

In order to solve this problem, I have used killnotes.exe but this is just a temporary solution. I need a permanent solution to my problem if ever I encounter this problem again. Can you help me find a permanent solution to this issue? Thank you!

Hi,

I see that you are getting an error when you are trying to attach an excel file. One possibility could be that the application you are using does not support excel files. If you have attached excel files in that application before then try the following solutions:

1. The cache may be corrupt. Locate the Lotus 8.5 folder in Program files in your computer and search for a file named "cache.ndk". Delete that file and restart the computer and try attaching the file. It is safe to delete the file as it will be created again when you run Lotus.

2. Another solution is to check the attachment size. Few applications do not allow you to upload files more than a specific amount of data. So check the file size.
