Hello friends,

I am new to the XML and a beginner in learning. Here in this problem I am able to parse only in the standalone mode. An error pops up when a reference is made to the external entity. How to fix this error? I am frustrated because of this error. Please help me to get rid of this error. Thank you.

Trillian is an instant messaging application similar to Yahoo! Messenger and Skype that you can use at work or at home. Any applications can throw an “XML parsing error” from time to time. It can be caused by different reasons like damaged or corrupted data, running a registry cleaner, updating of the operating system, installing another application that conflict with Trillian, and others.

First, try reinstalling your instant messaging software. Uninstall Trillian then click Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and click Disk Clean. Select drive C and click OK. Check “Temporary files”, click OK then click Delete Files. Restart your computer and install Trillian back. See if this fixes the problem. If it doesn’t work, upgrading to the latest version will surely do the trick.

Visit Get Trillian to download Trillian 5.4.0.16. Generally, Trillian runs on Windows XP and higher both x86 and x64. If your computer can run your operating system then you shouldn’t have any problem using Trillian.

The error may caused due to the problem in DTD file. You will have to ensure that all quotes balanced and try to remove one entry and add one at a time.

One reason for the errors could be that expat doesn't know about your platform (HP-UX on Intanium) and has the wrong switches in the Makefile. So compare that line with what your compiler can understand. Try to execute the line on the shell and see if you can bring it to work, maybe by providing more switches
