Error in opening MS Office 2010

Hello all!

These events are damaging my life continuity. I Have searched for and found similar posts, but the given solutions either don't "meet" my issue, or they are much hard for me.

Please help if anyone can. My profession is not programmer / techie etc. Easy language will be appreciated.

Here is my system specs given under:

When I try to open MS Word 2010, I get the following Error Message:

"Word could not create the work file. Check the temp environment variable."

Clicking on "Ok" only brings short relief because after a few operations eg: Copy, paste, etc., the program hangs.

Outlook behaves a little worse. Attempts at opening gives the following message:

Outlook could not create the work file. Check the temp environment variable.

The problem is solved clicking "Ok", but trying to click on and read any mail returns back the following message. Clicking "ok" bring on repeated dialogue box, don’t make the email available for reading. On the other hand, the Hour Glass appears, and the program hangs. If it is not, then part of the email functionally becomes legible but contains following error messages in the body:

"Error! Cannot read or display file."

I am able to open more than one email without avoiding system hang. The total Opening-Hanging-and-Relaunching takes "an eternity".

When I restart the outlook, I sometimes receive the following message:

Outlook experienced a serious problem with the MobileMe outlook add-in

If you have seen this message multiple times you should disable this add-in and check to see if an update is available. Do you want to disable this add-in?"

For disabling the add-in I have to click "Yes", nothing happened to solve the problem.

For the cost of my email Reading Pane being turned off, Outlook opens quickly without above error message. You may suggest that, turning on the Reading Pane by clicking on the "View" Drop Down Menu and then clicking on "Reading Pane", it is guaranteed that it bring back the: "Outlook could not create the work file. Check the temp environment variable" error message.

Excel and PowerPoint are good for the moment.

I am using the latest version of Rollback RX. I use it for many years without any failure. If I face an issue before, I usually move back to a previous SnapShot of my Hard Drive.

But, this time rolling back to any of a host of previous SnapShots does not seem to be helping. This problem only displayed during the time that I updated my system (Windows 7 Ultimate) with upgrades such as: Win 7 sp1, iTunes, Quicktime, etc.

I also have faced this problem before, but at that moment they were easily solved by rolling back to a previous SnapShot.

But, for this time they are not working.

Thanks for reply with solution.
