An error occurred while processing the last operation

After right-clicking  "IBMCOGNOSCONTROLLER" I pressed the "start" option.

Then I am getting the following error message;

Catalog Error

An error occurred while processing the last operation. Error code 80004014- The server process could not be stated because the configured identity is incorrect. Check the username and password,

The event log may contain additional troubleshooting information.

OK

Do you have any idea why it happens so? Please give me the solution.

I tried this on several other forums, but none could give me a perfect solution.

Hi Grant,

Try to resolve this:

First is to modify COM+ user’s password in a Active Directory to new value. Update the IBMCOGNOSCONTROLLER COM+ app. Then, re-configure the COM+ Windows user. Here are the following steps:

1. Update password in the Active Directory then modify settings.
2. Logon to Controller App server
3. Click Start, go to Programs and choose Administrative Tools.
4. Open the Component Services
5. Expand the top row until you locate app IBMCOGNOSCONTROLLER.
6. Right click the mouse and select Properties.
7. Click the Identify tab
8. Update your password.
9. Save it and close.

You can also add the COM+ user to local group Administrators which exist on Controller app server.
