Hi

When I try to boot up my Dimension 4550, I find a error message that shows

The program has encountered an unexpected error Parameter cannot be null Parameter name SerializationStream".

How can I solve this problem? Please inform.

Thanks.

I think your computer is having a problem booting. There are some factors that can be associated with this type of problem. Your computer might have a system failure during your previous session and damages your computer’s boot files. Your computer will not be able to boot if its boot files are corrupted or maybe missing. This problem can also be caused by a newly installed hardware. Or it can also be caused by a virus infection where the infection is already severe and has already eaten up the whole system drive and possibly other drives as well.

Try booting the computer using the Safe Mode. Start again the computer then press F8 right before the Windows logo appears on the screen. Continuously press F8 until Windows Advanced Options Menu appears on the screen. Navigate through the options using the up and down arrow keys. Select Safe Mode then hit Enter. If you are successful in booting the computer in Safe Mode, try restoring the computer to its previous state before the problem happen using System Restore.

If booting the system to Safe Mode is not possible, go back again to the Windows Advanced Options Menu screen then select Last Known Good Configuration (your most recent settings that worked). If you are successful booting using this mode, try restoring the computer to its previous state using System Restore.

There might be some problem with the formatting. It does look like that the formatting is not done properly. You need to make sure that you reformat and then install all the software yet again. If this does not work then in that case you need to call any hardware expert and get it checked immediately.
