Hey guys,

The problem is that when I put the file in the remote server drops the connection and a blank file appears at the end.

There are no authentication issues.

I'm testing against another SFTP server running OpenSSH and it works just fine.

Would could the problem be?

Hi,
Make sure that host address, username and password information exactly match what the administrator of the server to which you are connecting and putting the files.
Another problem can be that some FTP server are configured to reject passive mode data connections(PASV). By default Globalscape's cuteFTP uses better secure PASV mode (many FTP clients don't use). You may need to change from PASV to port mode to connect the server you are trying.

To make this change, open the "site manager" and choose the site then click the "site properties". Select the "Type" tab and change the data connection type to Use Port.

Hi Tony,

First you have to find out that all are in okay for specifying the path on the remote server including the file location and name. Though in your description you are not doing that. You will see a second parameter is to the remote file, not the remote folder, if you are looking at the docs for ftp put.

However, down or is busy these two are in a server’s frequent causes behind for connection failures. The shown diagram is stated a complete FTP transfer and major relay points data goes.

If an “Internal Data Error" message is not showing when trying to connect, it's mean that the server is down. You may try to connect in different time in a day or contact the system administrator for hosting your site.undefined
