Is it true that Kno has launched the digital textbook services. Is this service available for all type of people or only to specific people. I want to know how too use this service also.

Kno presented a textbook system that is digitalized intended to bring out to the K-12 students. This digitalized HMH K-12 textbooks is available for rental in Kno digital textbook app for $9.99.

This is a partnership with publisher Houghton Mifflin Harcourt into the K-12 education space. It is a digital textbook rental system. This makes digital versions of HMH's K-12 textbooks available for renting at only $9.99 or less for a year.

These books come with attractive features such as;

  • A journal of student's notes
  • PDFs and other content
  • automatic flash cards of key terms
  • Course Manager for organizing multiple textbooks
  • 3D functionality for select chemistry titles
  • links to relevant academic material .Video links are also available. 
  • Quiz Me function

 How to use

After registering on the Kno site, https://kno2.com/login/   a student will receive an invite link to be sent out by December 31, according to the website.A recipient can then choose any book in Kno’s bookstore. Participants that  get an etextbook invite will be able to choose a free title up until January 31, 2012.This offer will end once $10M is reached in their total giveaways.

Initially this application was available in an iOS and Web version, but Kno had plans develop versions Android tablets and Windows 7 before the start of the new term and now Kno textbooks are now available for the iPad, the Web, and Facebook.
