Hi there,

I think you are having problem with the Mozilla Firefox add-ons, You can disable or remove add-ons in Mozilla Firefox in many ways, the easiest and the most convenient way I have listed below: –

1. Open Mozilla Firefox.

2. Click on the Firefox button which you can see on the extreme top left of the screen.

3. A drop down menu appears in that you can see an add-on option in the right of the drop down list, click on that.

4. Another tab opens with add-ons details in that click on the last (4th) option in the left side and you can see all the details of your installed add-ons in Mozilla Firefox.

5. You can see the disable button near each of them,

6. Disable all or the ones which you want to speed up your browser.

If you are using Mozilla Firefox and you noticed there are add-ons or extensions that you are not familiar with and didn’t remember installing them, one reason how they end up in your browser is the programs you are installing. There are free programs that you can download on the internet that will offer you browser extensions during installation.

If you are not paying attention on the items you checked during installation, you will end up installing new extensions to your browsers. Some of these browser extensions offered by programs are unwanted software and sometimes malware. If you want to remove the extensions, you have to do it within the browser.

You cannot uninstall add-ons or browser extensions from the Control Panel unless the extension was installed specifically by an EXE file. To remove unwanted extensions from your browser, start Mozilla Firefox then click Menu and select “Add-ons” or press CTRL + SHIFT + A. In “Manage Your Extensions” screen, look for the add-on you wish to disable then click “Disable” or “Remove”.

Click “Remove” only if you no longer want to use it and to remove it permanently from the browser. You can select “Disable” if you wish to use it in the future or you are not sure if you’ll be needing it again.
