Hello experts,

When I try to open Live Gaming with Halo 2 I am getting this error. I don’t know now is not working because last time when I played the game online it worked just fine. I have reinstalled the game twice and I still have this game error. Can anyone tell me please why I have this error and how can I solve this so that next time won’t appear again?

Thank you!

Cannot allocate required memory. Some other application has loaded where Halo needs to be located.

I think you are using Halo 2 while running other applications as well that’s why it caught an error. It caught that memory error because the program can’t load itself into the memory because other applications are already loaded. If this is the case, it is possible that your system is installed with only a limited amount of memory.

So, what you need to do to make the program work again is to run Halo 2 alone. Click OK to close the dialog box and then restart your computer. Start Halo 2 again and it should be back to normal. Remember while Halo 2 is running avoid running other applications in the background because the error will be triggered again.

This issue with the memory can be fixed if you increase the amount of RAM installed on your computer. Aside from the memory problem, if you are indeed playing Halo 2 on your Windows XP, it will never work. Halo 2 is designed only for Microsoft Windows Vista and that’s it. So, if you want to play Halo 2, you need to upgrade your operating system to Microsoft Windows Vista from Microsoft Windows XP.
