Hello . I was wondering if you can upgrade a Galaxy Ace android phone to a higher Android OS like Android 4.1

Dear Nicholas,

fix this problem using:

  1. download the android 4.1 file
  2. place your downloaded file to  outside folder
  3. Then Reboot into recovery mode(
  4. Select Wipe data/factory reset
  5.  Select Cache partition, select Yes - Wipe Cache.
  6. Select use you power button.
  7.  Select Wipe Dalvik Cache, then Yes - Wipe Dalvik. wait
  8. select "Install Zip from SD card" from the menu.
  9. then select choose zip from outside folder, and choose to the ROM that you have insert in the instruction2
  10.  Confirm Installation.
  11.  select Reboot system.

Follow these steps carefully to upgrade you Operating System.
 
Requirements, 
 
•Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-s5830 with ClockworkMod Recovery installed
•Download Android 4.1.1 je;;y Bean ROM file. Using this link

•Backup all your personal data to your pc or any other device in case the procedure erases them
 
This is how you install it . 
 
•Copy CyanogenMod 10 ROM file in to your SD card
•Switch your mobile off. Reboot again your phone into ClockworkMod Recovery mood by pressing and holding home button and the power button till the recovery boots
•Create a nondroid backup of your existing ROM. By going to Backup and Restore
•Go back and perform a full wipe. To do this complete these,
1.Wipe data/factory reset and confirm
2.Wipe cache partition and confirm
3.Go back and In the main menu go to advanced. Then Wipe Dalvik cache and confirm
4.Goto main menu again and select install ZIP from SD card.
5.Then choose the CM10 ROM zip file and confirm. And wait until the it completes
6.Now comeback to main menu and select Reboot system nowto.
