Hi,

A fatal error has occurred with my Adobe Reader 9. Have a look at the error message below. Have you any idea of the error message? I receive the same error message frequently. Please help me to get a remedy of this issue.

Thanks in advance.

Hello Halleleilani,

I was successful to resolve the issue for Acrobat 10 by navigating to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTacrobatshellopenddeexecapplication and changing the Key "AcroviewA10" to "AcroviewR10"

Try to change the similar key for Acrobat 9. Here you just need to change "AcroviewA9" to "AcroviewR9".

Please export the registry before making any changes to it.

Thank you.

Hi,

DDE means Dynamic Data Exchange. This type of fatal errors comes from an antivirus software because of blocking software from connecting. Please try to uninstall the adobe and then reinstall it.

DDE means Dynamic Data Exchange

If the problem remains try this

1. Open Adobe.

2. Hold Ctrl and press ok button ( same thing like editing preference ).

3. Left column 4TH item is general click on it.

4. Remove the check " enable protected mode at startup " and then press ok.

Hopefully the solutions I gave will solve your problems.
