At the moment, one of the latest Windows phone Microsoft launched this year is the Microsoft Lumia 650. Microsoft Lumia 650 is a 4G Smartphone operating on 2G, 3G, and 4G network bands using GSM, HSPA, and LTE technologies. It was announced to the public and released at the same time on February 2016. It measures 142 x 70.9 x 6.9 millimeters and weighs 122 grams.

It supports dual nano-SIM card. It has OLED capacitive touchscreen display with 16M colors at 720 x 1280 pixels screen resolution. It supports multi-touch protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 with ClearBlack display. It runs on Microsoft Windows 10 powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 chipset, Quad Core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 processor, and Adreno 304 GPU. It supports microSD expandable up to 256 GB.

It runs on 1 GB RAM with 16 GB internal storage. The primary camera supports 8 megapixels with f/2.2, 28mm, LED flash, and autofocus. The primary camera features 1/4″ sensor size and can record video in 720p at 30 fps. The secondary camera supports 5 megapixels with f/2.2 and can record video in 720p.

It supports 3.5-millimeter jack with active noise cancellation and dedicated mic support; Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with DLNA and hotspot support; Bluetooth 4.1 with A2DP and LE support; GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, and BDS support; NFC; FM radio; and microUSB 2.0. It has built-in proximity and accelerometer sensors. The pre-installed web browser supports HTML5. Java is not supported.

It runs on removable Li-Ion 2000 mAh battery with standby time up to 624 hours on 3G and talk time up to 16 hours on 2G and 13 hours on 3G. It is available in black and white colors. Though Microsoft has been around since 1975 and known for its popular Microsoft Windows operating system, Android was launched few years ahead of Windows Phone.

The very first version of the Android mobile operating system was released in September 2008 while Microsoft launched its first ever Windows Phone in 2010 almost at the same time with iOS. The first ever version of iOS, iOS 3.1.3, was released in February 2010.
