Will the latest avg-antivirus performs its duties and responsibilities to filter latest upcoming viruses spreading all over the world as of this moment? And what will be the effect of this actions of ever we installed this new avg antivirus to our computer and then suddenly all my files are all infected?

AVG is a good antivirus and I have been using AVG 2011 antivirus. The thing is that it does not detect all of the latest viruses and infect no antivirus does it. Actually a virus come first then its cure. Though Avg is a reliable Antivirus but it cannot detect all of the Viruses. We can say that it is 80%-85% good safety measure to secure your PC from viruses.

The second part of your question as I understood is that "if you installed AVG and then suddenly all your files get infected", this normally happen when you delete/remove an already installed antivirus from your PC. Actually it will insert viruses to your system to make you think that my PC was good when the previous antivirus was installed on it and eventually you install it again. It is basically a strategy to win customer/user hearts. The other reason might me that the antivirus setup is corrupt.

Hi,

I understand that you have an AVG antivirus but you are hesitant to install it on your computer. If your AVG is a licensed anti-virus, you would have all the features and benefits of the software. The features and benefits are: Protection against viruses and spyware, Prevent wireless network intruders, Safety on online banking and shopping, Download and share files safely, Keeping your email safe and blocks spam emails, Protection that speeds up your computer, Priority product updates, Protection from instant messaging virus. I am referring to the new AVG Internet Security 2012.

AVG works very well. It blocks suspicious files (incoming) or should I say intercept any threat to the computer. It will then try to disinfect the file and all files that are affected. Unfortunately, there are cases that the infected files need to be deleted to avoid the spreading of the virus. AVG will alert you if there is a file that is harmful to your computer. If your files will be infected, AVG will try to fix the file but worst case is that the only option is to delete the file.
