Why my PC hangs during file transfer?Please help

Hi guys,

I'm Juan want to ask a question that I'm seeing this problem from few days working with my PC.The problem is my PC hangs during file transfers be it any file and n kind of transfer.I tried copying files from DVD and my SD card too, but the problem is same I'm unable to transfer any file please help me solve this I really need to copy some files.

Why my PC hangs during file transfer?Please help

Hello

There might be several causes for such malfunction. In order to fix this issue, make sure that everything with your drive is perfect.

1. From Start menu, type “Device Manager” >> hit Enter.

2. Expand the “Disk drives” section.

3. Find out your problematic device >> double-click on it.

4. Open “Policies” tab.

5. If you’ve problem with your HDD, make sure that only “Enable write caching on the device” is checked.
If you’ve problem with your pendrive or SD card, check that only “Quick removal (default)” option is selected.

6. Press “OK”.

If you still face same problem,

1. Start an elevated Command Prompt.

2. Enter the following command:
x:

Where “X” indicates the drive letter of your problematic drive.

3. Run the following command:
chkdsk /r

If you still face the same problem, possibly, your device is bad/damage so you have to change the drive.

Also, update your BIOS by identifying your motherboard’s model number from Start menu >> type “dxdiag.exe” >> hit Enter.
