What is a landing page? What is its relevance in internet marketing? What is the objective of creating a landing page? Name the two types of landing page which can be created.What is the objective of each of these types of pages? What should one keep in mind while creating effective landing pages that help conversion?

Why do we need landing pages for websites?

A landing page is any page on web that appears in response to the keywords or key-phrases such that traffic will be sent specifically. Landing pages are linked with social media websites, email campaigns for more quality and quality of advertisements. The main goal of landing pages is to convert site visitors into sales or leads. There are two types of landing pages- Reference landing page, Transactional landing page. In this, the reference landing page will display the information relevant to the user which can be text, image or other elements. The transactional landing page ultimate goal is to convert the webpage visitor to a customer in which visitor’s information and mailing list will be fetched. To get more visitors land on your page, ensure headline of your webpage should get clicked by the user, use videos, show your phone number, simplify the content.
