Why am I not able to access Skype after updating

I can’t access my Skype account after the last package was updated from Microsoft Skype. Do updates from Microsoft Skype affect Skype? Is there anyone experiencing the same problem?

Why am I not able to access Skype after updating

The problem might be with the updates, try uninstalling the updates because you may find out that this will work just fine for your Skype. After uninstalling change the update status from automatic to you choosing what to install. Install the updates one at a time to establish which one is conflicting with your Skype.

After identifying the problem then uninstall the update that is bringing trouble to your Skype for good. Check with your system also because you may note that the same update works well with other operating systems other than the one you are using at the moment.

Hello Chaneeka,

What is the exact problem that you are experiencing while using Skype? You cannot successfully login into your account or is your Skype crushing?

Sometimes updates may be tragic. If your Skype is crushing then the version that was installed during the update may have some bugs in its code, or maybe it needs some higher specifications of the system as opposed to the ones that you are using right now.

Otherwise if it is a problem with logging in, I advise you to restart the Skype, close it completely in the task manager and restart the computer. That may solve the problem.
