What happened to website templates from Publisher 2007 to 2010?

I’ve installed Microsoft Publisher 2010 on my computer for creating a website but I was surprised to see that the website templates were missing.

I researched on this issue and got to know that Microsoft removed the templates and Publisher 2010 could no longer be used for creating websites.

Can someone confirm this?

If this is true, what might be the exact reason behind it?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there,

It is said that the Microsoft has decided to abandon the web building functionality in publisher and it started disapproving it in Publisher 2010.

But you can still open and edit an existing web publication in MS Publisher 2010. You can still create single web pages.

You can also download website templates.
