Hello experts,

What is all about a generic wireless modem? Nowadays we are using router for wireless internet connection. I just want to know and be sure if there are some modem that also provides wireless internet connection? I hope you can give me the best answer. Thank you.

What is all about a generic wireless modem?

Yes there are wireless modems that provide wireless internet connections, they've been around since 2005. One of the most used today is WiMAX, here's a link if you want to read more about this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WiMAX.

The difference between wired and wireless networks are mostly just their speeds and stability, of course wired being more stable and can achieve higher speeds.

What is all about a generic wireless modem?

 

Wireless Internet Modems are used for wireless connections. These days due to the penetration of WiMax connections, most households are opting for Wireless connections. As far as quality is concerned its best to have dedicated internet through Ethernet that provides uninterrupted packet flow and it’s much better than Wimax due to its connectivity.
