Hello all,

I am trying to install VMware Server 2.0 on my test machine, which is running windows 2003 server with service pack 2 as operating system.

The installation got a problem of rejection of file due to some digital signature policy.

The installation source is trusted and I cannot figure out the thing that is causing Windows to not to trust on the installer.

This error is either generated due to some error or some fault in security / wrong / malicious file that’s why I am very curious about this.

Please suggest me the possible solutions to this error.

The problem you mentioned in your post occurs when the Windows Installer process has insufficient contiguous virtual memory to verify that the .msi package or the .msp package is correctly signed. But luckily Microsoft has addressed this problem and created an update as a fix.

To solve you need to download and install the files listed below in accordance with your operating system.

Windows Server 2003 http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=6724

Windows Server 2003, x64 Edition http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=1048

Windows Server 2003 for Itanium-based Systems http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=12206

Restart your system and try the installation again.
