Hi there,

When I’ve tried to install some utilities from my VGA this error appeared and I had to close the installer. I don’t know why they are not supported by my VGA since the utilities are downloaded from the official website. Does anyone have any idea how can this be solved? What could cause this error? Thanks.

Hello There,

I suppose you are running Win 9x, or any other server side OS, else you do not need external VGA card driver.

However, as you faced some error even during installation, can you please check on their official website whether this version of OS is supported or not? Also check what is the minimum BIOS version it requires, everything is counted to solve such complex issue

So, in short these are 2 immediate steps to solve the issue

1. Upgrade to bios version as mentioned in vendor website

2. Check operating system compatibility, if operating system is compatible – preference should be given to direct OS level drivers, not other drivers.

That “Unknown video card” error means the driver you tried to install is meant for another video card. In other words, you installed the wrong driver for your video card. The following are websites of popular computer manufacturers and video card manufacturers. If your video card or computer is one of these, visit the link and download the driver for your hardware.
