Unexpected Error When Scanning Computer

I get this error message whenever I try to scan my computer.

"AN UNEXPECTED PROBLEM OCCURRED DURING YOUR SCAN. CLICK OK TO GO BACK TO THE HOMEPAGE AND TRY AGAIN."

Windows defender is already turned off to prevent any system clash. The error message pops up just before the system starts scanning. I need help on this. Thanks!

Unexpected Error When Scanning Computer

This is due to some component of McAfee is not functioning properly. You can either try repairing it or reinstall it from the beginning by following the steps below.

Remove the McAfee virtual technician from the computer.

Run the MCPR to remove the McAfee from the computer.

Go to mvt.mcafee.com and run it from there.

Click the fix button if it finds any thing wrong in your computer.

Log into your McAfee account, download and reinstall it.

there is another thing that you can do to solve it. Set the DCOM Server process launcher service to automatic and run it.

if it is set to automatic then it will start scanning without any problem.
