I am going to update my systems. Therefore, to continue with the existing data, I need a backup of everything. However, I do not know to take backups. Can anyone tell me how to take backup of ad in Server 2008?

Taking Backups; How To Take Backup Of Ad In Server 2008 While Updating Systems?

Before backing up the Server 2008, you have to install backup features from the Server Manager.

Click on Features → ThenAdd Features

Then opt for both Windows Server Backup and Command Line Tools.

Click on Next, then press Install.

Type cmd in command prompt and press enter.In the command prompt,you need the command for back up and then hit enter. Finally, type “y” with enter button to start the process.

If the process is complete with no error Then you will receive a message that backup completed successfully.

This is the backup of your 2008 Server.
