Table view is the way of looking at a table. MS Access provides two table views, design view and datasheet view. And by selecting the desired view from the view menu you can switch from one view to another.

Design View:

The table view that is used to design the structure of the tables is known as Design View. It is used to specify the name, data type and description of the field. Primary key is also specified in this view. The structure of the designed table can also be changed in the design view.

Datasheet View:

The table view that is used to enter, modify and delete the data of the table is called “Datasheet view”. The table in this view is displayed in rows and columns. The name of each field is displayed at the top of the column as its header. And each row in the table contains a complete record. The query is opened in datasheet view to perform different operations on data in the table. These operations include adding, deleting, updating and searching data etc.

Hello-There is Design View, Data sheet view, Pivot Table View and Pivot Chart View. And yes it is possible for you to switch between them.

Lemme give you a quick description of what each is.

              i) Design View-is where you can add other fields in the table or delete or set validation and other field properties to the    table.

ii) Datasheet View is the view that is moved to immediately after design view where you can actually test your database and the rules you just set in design view to see how they are working. Actually the main function of this view is to enter data into these fields that you just created.

iii) Pivot table view enables you to view your table as pivot table.

iv) Pivot chart view enables you to view your table as a pivot chart in excel.
