I have bought a new laptop with Windows 8 installed in it. Previously I used Windows 7 and XP. It was a much given hype to Windows 8 that it has a start screen tiled with various apps. The truth is, all those inbuilt apps are of no use. Please suggest me a list of Windows 8 apps which are useful to me in actual sense. Thanks in advance.

I have a list of some wonderful apps for you! Here goes:
1. Spotify– You can use this app to get any piece of music you need, whether oldies or the newest hits!
2. Skype– If you have family or friends abroad this app is a great way to get in touch with them. Its user interface is great and set up is easy.
3. Steam– If you are a game fanatic, this is just the app for you. It has tons of games from which you can choose from.
4. VLC Media Player– This app allows you to watch media files in almost any format!

5. Paint.net– This is a great image creation and editing! If you have any photos you want to give a little boost this is just the app for you!
