Question About Changing Web Address

I am on the process of getting a webpage for my business. Someone from our office told me to purchase a domain name under .edu as google gives high page ranking on these kind of sites. Is this true?

Hello,

I have heard about that also. And I have search for that. But there are no clear answers for that think. I also do not thing that the Google gives high priority to .edu domains. Because it always sort by hit counter. That mean it comes into first place of the search if persons search and click the link of your site more than other sites.  

Or you can get it into first place by paying to the google. They will display it with a bit of the highlight which get more interaction from the people who use the search. It will help you to get more traffic to your site.
